Commitment: It’s the little choices every day that lead to the final results we’re striving for.

Consistency is a trait similar to persistence. Let’s be honest, it’s not always easy to finish what you started and meet your goal. As a banker and as a coach, I am witnessing the success of individuals and companies who have these as defined values. And having these values means that whatever the situation is, big or small, you are focused on achieving that result.

When I started writing on LinkedIn, I made a commitment to be present every Tuesday. And here I am. This Tuesday I’m sending greetings from beautiful Jordan.

Although we have different accommodation every night and the internet from time to time, I manage to finish important tasks from both roles I chose – the bank and Balance to Business. We are excitedly preparing the upcoming half-day conference “Women of Influence – The New Me” on 8th December in partnership with @sanja and @pressroom.

I am writing this post after visiting Petra, also known as city of red roses. What a marvellous experience this is! As one of the Seven Wonders of the World, it was carved out by the Nabateans more than 2000 years ago. What was then the capital of the Nabataean kingdom, was lost for 2000 years until it was rediscovered by a Swedish explorer 200 years ago. So, over the past 200 years, more and more of Petra has been discovered, and more and more treasures are being discovered to this day.

All this got me thinking about an important thing- “How much do we know and feel ourselves and our team members?” People sometimes think that they know everything about themselves or the team they lead.

We often forget that there’s much more to be discovered.

Well, that’s where the magic of coaching comes into action. Through the right coaching approach many opportunities arise, new discoveries are made, people feel and see the results.

Things that once might have seemed lost, are found. However, sometimes you need time, you need to be consistent and persistent.

Just like when it comes to discovering the wonders of Petra – the key is to commit to yourself and not give up.
