I just got back from Dr. Joe Dispenza’s Progressive Retreat in Basel and I am happy share insights with all of you. If I had to choose the most important one, it would be the power of support in our journey of change.
I’ll try to summarize my thoughts in two parts. So, here we go with PART 1…
Basel
Basel is a truly unique city, at the intersection of three countries – Switzerland, France and Germany. It’s beautiful, peaceful and incredibly clean. No wonder Dr. Joe chose it as the location for this retreat. I met there my colleagues, Mirela and Antonia. We immediately saw one common thing with Sarajevo – city that connects three of us. Both Basel and Sarajevo feel like cultural crossroads, bringing together different influences and histories. And then – the first insight: standing there, I couldn’t help but feel that I, too, was at the crossroads in my own journey.
The place
Getting to the venue was an experience in itself. Tram 14 was completely packed, and we were squeezed together like sardines. J Once we arrived, there were no assigned seats and people rushed to find the best spots. The chairs weren’t the most comfortable either, but luckily, I had my Balance to Business cushion with me. It felt like a piece of personal support, both physically and symbolically.
Lessons learned
Dr. Dispenza reminded us that real change starts in the mind by shifting our thoughts away from the past and focusing on the future which reminded me of coaching. He spoke about how energy and frequency carry information, and that if we first feel the emotions of what we desire, the experience will come to us.
We did two powerful meditations which reminded me of the quote I saw earlier in the hallway: Lose yourselves in nothing to become everything. It’s about stepping beyond our old selves and allowing something new to emerge.
Unexpected support
During the first meditation, I felt a wonderful sense of support for my back. It made the whole experience more comfortable. When the session ended, I turned around and realized that the “support” had been the knee of the person sitting behind me! It was such a small, unintentional act, but it reminded me how even the smallest forms of support can make a big difference. We are all in this journey together, and sometimes, we lift each other up without even realizing it.
Quick reflections
- Change your thoughts: Stop focusing on the past. Place your energy into the future you want to create.
- Understand frequency: The energy we give off carries information. Tune in to the right frequency.
- Feel before it happens: If you first feel the emotions of your desired reality, the experience will follow.
Two affirmations have been echoing in my mind since the retreat:
- I need opportunity.
- I am worthy to receive.
This retreat was a profound journey into self-reflection and self-transformation.
