The first answers to the question above that come to my mind are:
Enriching our lives and pushing our limits through new adventures and challenges. It sounds simple, but it proved to be true – the more experiences you have, the stronger you get, and it is also a good thing to boost self-confidence.
After the successful “Women of Impact – Time for Turnover” conference that Sanja Milosavljević and I organized earlier this year in the south of Montenegro, we decided to embark on a new endeavor. This time the half-day conference, “The New Me,” will be held in Podgorica. As many of you have read, I wrote an article titled “Who am I really” which inspired me to take this completely new task as a moderator of the panel of the same name.
Of course, everything is much easier when you have support. A fantastic group of people: Zorica Kalezić, Maja Pavličić, Biljana Radusinović, Ivica Tatar and Uroš Bulatović provided me with that support. They will also unselfishly share their inspiring stories with the attendees.
This event will be a new and different experience for most people because of the great venue- “Radosav Ljumović“ National Library. In the era of digitization, which has offered us a lot of possibilities, we decided for a moment to return to beautiful values, which most of us may have forgotten. Once, we used to go to libraries to borrow a book, read it in calm, or prepare the exams. I suppose some young people still go there, but I am sure most of us have forgotten that it even exists. ?
For me, it is a valuable space because, on the big wall, there is a picture of Jelena Petrovic, who was the daughter of King Nicholas I of Montenegro, as well as her quote:
I studied in Petrograd and got the best education, but look at me. I am and will always be a Montenegrin. I am tall, with long legs, black and curly hair, dark complexion and eyes, no make-up on my face, in a beautiful but not seductive dress. I can speak French, Russian and English very well, but that does not make me French, Russian, or English.
I am a strong Montenegrin.
We have a fruitful life by following intuition and signs by the road, with persistence and commitment.
In the end, wish me luck in this new role I’ve chosen, if only for one day.
