We are at the beginning of 2023 and I hope you started the year it in the best possible way.
People have different ways on how to spend days off and recharge. I allowed myself to relax and had time to watch all six episodes of the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.
Why was this interesting to millions?
In my point of view, there are many reasons. One of the main ones is how and why the modern fairy tale stopped being that. What are the causes? What are the consequences?
Even though it is all about the royal family and seemingly so far from the reality of ordinary people, many have found similarities in some situations.
I will focus on the resemblance with the business world.
We have decision-makers, others who follow unquestionably, and those who challenge and want changes. Of course, influence is behind everything. If not used wisely, it can shake people’s lives.
Influence should be used to raise awareness about important issues, encourage and inspire others. In the era of social media, that aspect became less relevant, and the focus switched to money.
I truly believe that each person can make a difference. Still, the voice of those with many followers and broader audiences is heard further and precisely because of that, their responsibility is greater. It is of utmost importance to stand for the right cause and share core values despite all challenges and obstacles. It is worth it and will be valued in the end.
This year I would be happy to see how those who have a significant influence use it for the greater good. There were a lot of bright examples in the previous period on this social network. Let this year be even better.
