Sometimes we all just need to close our eyes. Just that. There is a whole world behind closed eyes.

So, why is it so difficult for some people? Why do they only succeed when they are sleeping or taking a nap? Why is it so difficult in other cases?

There are several reasons for this.

For some, it’s discomfort or lack of trust, and for others, it’s fear. In certain situations, it can also be discomfort due to the space or people they are surrounded by.

How to overcome it and why? What are the benefits?

There are exercises where it is preferable to close your eyes. It helps us to get to know a whole new world – to feel the power of inner sight. What is interesting is that at one moment there can be a lot of pictures in that space, a lot of worries, obligations, people, various things.

Those who manage to close their eyes and concentrate, with a focus on breathing and very often moving their hands to certain parts of the body, see the future, see themselves at a certain point.

Visual distractions are reduced, and we are more focused on internal sensations and messages that our body sends us. This heightened sensory awareness can deepen our connection with the body. Not to mention the introspection itself. Our focus is on the subtle nuances of emotions.

All of these can create a good environment for deepening the mind-body connection.

Somatic coaching is a real opportunity for exercises of this type, and all these benefits multiply as they become part of our everyday life.

The conclusion is clear – as soon as we start listening to our body more, the benefits are very quickly visible in all areas of life.
